In my case I do not rely on the OS to do my color management, and run a rip with a dedicated ICM that is designed up to work with their system. I have heard not so nice things about colorsync and printing in the last versions. Lion is fine as far as running Photoshop's latest version 5.5 for doing retouching and general adjustments.
