Good idea to have a dedicated production server that has a clean, stable OS. In my case I do not rely on the OS to do my color management, and run a rip with a dedicated ICM that is designed up to work with their system. I have heard not so nice things about colorsync and printing in the last versions. Lion is fine as far as running Photoshop's latest version 5.5 for doing retouching and general adjustments. It is pretty stable for use as a workstation, but not for production printing work.

Thank you for this beautiful demonstration. It is very useful to make the thing(matter) understand in fly-away(rebel) spirits!

The big problem of the 16 shots is the regularity of the lighting. It's not an easy business !

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I wanted to say that it's nice to know that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding the same info elsewhere. This was the first place that told me the answer. Thanks

Thanks for the kind words.

I totally agree on the issue of user-friendly displays - they reduce fatigue, make the user more productive, and also deliver better results. What's not to like??

The new Eizo looks amazing, too!
